Meet the Goats

The goat milk used in our 1124 Farms soaps and skincare comes from our small herd right here on the farm. Each goat has their own personality, but Hazel is our star milker and provides much of the rich, creamy milk that makes our products so special.

Our main milkers are Mini Nubians — a sweet, mid-sized dairy breed known for their friendly temperaments and rich, high-butterfat milk.

HAZEL
Head Milker

Meet Hazelnut Cookie, affectionately known as Hazel. With her calm and gentle personality, Hazel is one of the sweetest goats on the farm. She loves pets and hugs and will happily lean against you while you give her scratches.

Hazel is also our star milker and provides most of the rich goat milk used in our products. With her relaxed nature and warm little smile, she’s truly the heart of the herd.

JOE JOE
Barnyard Boss

Joe Joe came to the farm alongside her full sister Hazel and their herd mate Mochi. Named after Trader Joe’s “Joe Joe’s” cookies because of her Oreo-like black and white coloring, she quickly made it clear she intended to run the place.

Always alert and a little suspicious of unfamiliar faces, Joe Joe keeps a careful eye on everything happening in the pasture — a true herd boss.

MOCHI
Strong-Willed

Mochi arrived on the farm with Hazel and Joe Joe and was named by my daughter after the sweet dessert. A mix of Boer and Nigerian Dwarf, Mochi has a quiet personality and usually prefers to keep a little distance.

She’s sweet and observant, always keeping an eye on what’s happening in the pasture — especially if snacks might be involved. Mochi also has a soft spot for the younger goats and even helped raise Pepe when he was a baby.

THE KIDS

PEPÉ
Farm Sweetheart

Pepe was born on November 18, 2024 and, as a baby, had endless energy. He spent his early days bouncing around the pasture and keeping everyone on their toes. These days he has settled down quite a bit and is a sweet, affectionate boy who loves attention and happily accepts all the pets he can get.

Not long after he was born, Mochi decided he needed an extra mom and happily adopted him. Pepe ended up nursing from both Mochi and Joe Joe while growing up, making him one very well-fed and well-loved kid.

BAMBI
Sweet Like Mom

Bambi arrived on November 27, 2024 as one of Hazel’s twins. Just like her mom, she has a calm and gentle personality and is incredibly sweet.

She enjoys being around people and is quickly becoming one of the friendliest members of the herd. Her name was chosen by my son.

BISCUIT/DAISY The Attention Seeker

Biscuit was born on November 27, 2024 as Hazel’s other twin. My husband named her Biscuit, but I often call her Daisy because she just seems like a Daisy to me. I can't explain why!

While she may be small, her personality is anything but quiet. Biscuit is bossy, noisy, and always ready to announce herself with her unmistakable bleat. If you start petting another goat, she’ll quickly push her way in to make sure she gets the attention too.
